Sunset Beach is an unincorporated city in Southern California. It is located close to Huntington Beach, a city to the south of Los Angeles. The Pacific Coast Highway, which is a street that runs up the coast of California, runs through the middle of the city. Bolsa Chica State Beach is just to the south. Peters Landing is a place with many stores. It is located in Northern Sunset Beach. The beach is very popular during the summer. Borders of the city are at Warner Ave. to the south, along Huntington Harbour, a city with neighborhoods on islands, to Surfide, a private community. The population of Sunset Beach is 1,228 as said on a sign along the Pacific Coast Highway.
