The Starkville Daily News is Starkville's largest newspaper and its primary outlet for local news. It is an independent newspaper and focuses primarily on local stories.

The Starkville Daily News was established in 1903, and is the successor to both the Starkville News (1901) and the East Mississippi Times (1867), which were consolidated in 1926. The Starkville Daily News has been published daily since October 31, 1960, except for on six annual holidays.

Publishing schedule[edit | edit source]

The Starkville Daily News is published daily except for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
